Terri Johnson has been an artist all of her life. She was the kid in school who always got notes sent home in her report card that she was drawing pictures rather than paying attention in class. Born in Washington, D.C., she began her formal art training at the Corcoran Gallery of Art when she was 12. After graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in Fashion Design, she parlayed that degree into a very successful career while continuing to paint and show her artwork in galleries in New York City and Washington, D.C.

She is now focusing solely on her painting and drawing,  focusing her explorations on her love of color., using both the outer world and her inner world as sources of inspiration.

Her  goal as an artist is to continue this creative journey, to wherever it leads and share the discoveries with others through her work.
